The Sacrament of Holy Orders continues the mission Christ entrusted to His Apostles through the ordained ministry of the Church. Holy Orders includes three degrees: bishops, priests, and deacons, each serving the People of God and continuing the apostolic ministry of the Church.

Through ordination, the bishop lays hands upon the candidate and offers a prayer of consecration, asking God to grant the gifts and grace of the Holy Spirit necessary for his ministry. Those who receive Holy Orders dedicate their lives to serving Christ and His Church through teaching, pastoral service, prayer, and the celebration of the sacraments.
