REGISTRATIONS FOR 2026-2027 ARE NOW OPEN!

Session Times:  

• 1-5 Grade, Sundays Sessions begin at the 10:00AM Mass, the Priest will invite the children up to the front, and children will leave with their catechist to the Parish Office Conference Room. The children will return to Mass around 11:00AM. Please stay in your pews so the children can find you.

• 2-5 grade First Eucharist year 2, Sundays from 9:45AM to 11:00AM at the Parish Office.  

• Middle School Youth Ministry, Thursdays from 7:30PM to 8:45PM at the Parish Office.

• High School Youth Ministry. Schedule to be confirmed. 

• Adult OCIA, Wednesdays from 7:00PM to 8:30PM at Fr. Doyle Events Center (parish hall).

What is the curriculum

All grade levels (K-7) use the Loyola Press Curriculum, Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts. 

This comprehensive religion program is based on a spiral curriculum that integrates the fundamental themes of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching. As children are introduced to and revisit concepts and vocabulary from one year to the next, their knowledge and experience both broadens and deepens. This program provides lessons in faith and delivers those lessons through experiential activities that encourage lifelong practice.

Registration for Children (12 and under)

Documents Required for Registration:

• A copy of the birth certificate if preparing for Baptism (if child is over the age of 7). 
• A copy of the Baptism certificate if preparing for any other sacrament of initiation.
• It is the families’ responsibility to provide these documents; please contact the parish office if you need a copy of a certificate for a sacrament received at St. Joseph Parish, as the Faith Formation Office does not keep copies of sacrament acknowledgements from previous years. 
• Fees for Sunday Sessions are $100 per child, and are due at registration time via Online Giving at https://www.osvhub.com/sjpmv/giving/funds/faith-formation-registration-ocia-english. Please include the full name of the student and grade when scheduling your payment.
