Saint Vincent de Paul Society

THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to everyone who donated money or gift cards for the Family Giving Tree.  We were blown away by how much we received in donations in December.  Your donations allowed us to provide gift cards to 129 needy children in our parish in time for Christmas.  Our group got together at a festive outdoor event on December 19 to put the cards into the envelopes and put them in the mail.  It was a good way for us to experience some holiday cheer.

In addition to the giving tree, the St. Vincent de Paul Society has provided assistance to 18 adults and 20 children in the months of November, December and January.  We were able to spend a total of $13,000 helping people with utility bills, vehicle registration, clothing, and rent.  We are expecting to continue receiving a high number of calls.  Our next collection is on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 but you can make a donation anytime <HERE> All donations go to help needy people in our parish and we are all volunteers, so all of the money goes to the people in need.  If you need help, please contact us through the parish office or website.  If you can join us to provide help, please contact Frank Pelkofer at pelkofer@alum.mit.edu.  We could especially use additional Spanish speakers.  There is no minimum time commitment and we make sure to take all reasonable precautions against Covid.
