Our RCIA catechumen recently celebrated the Rite of Acceptance and our RCIA candidates recently celebrated the Rite of Welcoming the Candidates. At this rite, the catechumen and candidates received the Sign of the Cross on their forehead, on their ears, on their eyes, on their lips, over their heart, on their shoulders, on their hands, and on their feet. These actions symbolize how through his death and resurrection Christ gives strength to every aspect of our lives, and how we can bear witness to Christ with our whole being.
Take a few moments to make the Sign of the Cross over your body. In your own life, how has suffering brought you strength? How have you been living proof of the saving power of the Cross?
The St. Joseph parish community extends a warm welcome to our catechumen, Wendy Tobagus, and our candidates, Ismael Bettencourt, Danette Garcia, and Lisa Garcia. Be assured of our loving support and prayers for you.
May the Lord remain with you always.
