Our RCIA catechumen recently celebrated the Rite of Acceptance and our RCIA candidates recently celebrated the Rite of Welcoming the Candidates. At this rite, the catechumen and candidates publicly expressed their intention to become fully initiated members of the Catholic community by responding to the question "For what reason have you come here today?"

We all can learn from the example of these new members of our community and their strong commitment to the life of the Church. As we witness them grow in faith and fellowship over the coming months, we should take time to reflect on our own lives and ask ourselves "For what reason have we come here today?"

The St. Joseph parish community extends a warm welcome to our catechumen, Wendy Tobagus, and our candidates, Ismael Bettencourt, Danette Garcia, and Lisa Garcia. Be assured of our loving support and prayers for you. May the Lord remain with you always.
