Silicon Valley Turkey Trot, “Run or Walk for Health”, on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, in partnership with the City of San Jose, County of Santa Clara and the South Bay Labor Council will hold its third annual race. In the first two years, the Turkey Trot has generated more than $340,000 to charity. The race is intended for everyone in the community. It includes a 5-k run or walk , a 10-k run, a kids’ fun run, a pro 5-k race, company competitions and even a CEO/Celebrity Charity Challenge. There is major outreach this year to faith communities, parishes and congregations. Your participation would be most appreciated. Beneficiaries of the event include Santa Clara Family Health Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank and the Housing Trust Fund.
